After two years of noisy can offerings, our JAM kids have reach their goal of $5000.00 to purchase an ARK for Heifer Project International! This gift will allow families to start on a journey to fulfill an impossible dream – to secure food and a source of dependable income.
Each family who receives livestock will pass on one or more of the animal’s offspring to other families who are in need in their community. Every gift will multiply for years to come. The money buys two pigs, two cows, trios of rabbits, two donkeys, beehives, two sheep, two llamas/alpacas, a flock of chicks, trios of ducks, trios of guinea pigs, two water buffalo and two camels.
We celebrated the completion of this mission project and the contributions of the congregations with a ceremony at both services in March. Global snacks from these countries were served during the fellowship hour.
The ark was carried in.
The mask of all the animals in the ark were worn by children and some adults.
After they filed in they held the letters stating.
